## 1\. Introduction

Jarvest is an iOS app for scanning receipts, organizing savings jars, and sending simple invoices. This policy explains, in plain English, what data Jarvest touches and what it doesn't.

## 2\. What we collect

### Receipts

Receipt scanning runs **entirely on your device** using Apple's Vision framework. The image and the text we extract from it never leave your iPhone. We don't upload, mirror, or back up your receipts to any server we control.

### Financial data (transactions, jars, invoices)

All financial data you create · transactions, savings jars, invoices, clients · is stored **locally on your device**. If you turn on iCloud sync in iOS, this data is also stored in your **private iCloud database**, which only you can access. We have no visibility into and no ability to read your iCloud data.

### Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by **Apple** and managed through **RevenueCat**. We receive an _anonymized_ subscription status (active / inactive / trial) so the app knows what to unlock. We do not receive your name, email, payment method, or billing address from these systems. See [RevenueCat's privacy policy](https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/).

### Sign in with Apple (optional)

If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive only the **name** you share. We never receive your real email address; Apple's relay handles that. You can sign in anonymously and skip this entirely.

## 3\. What we don't do

-   No ads, ever.
-   No selling, renting, or sharing of your data.
-   No third-party analytics, trackers, or SDKs that profile you.
-   No server-side storage of your financial data.

## 4\. Data retention & deletion

Because your data lives on your device (and optionally in your own iCloud), you control retention:

-   **Delete the app** · removes all local Jarvest data from that device.
-   **In-app account deletion** · wipes Jarvest data on the device immediately.
-   **iCloud data** · managed through _Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Jarvest_.

## 5\. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Under GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, and to object to processing.

In Jarvest, most of these rights are satisfied directly by the app: your data is on your device, you can view and edit it at any time, and you can delete it in one tap. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

## 6\. Children

Jarvest is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we'll help.

## 7\. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app before the change takes effect. Past versions are available on request.
